Networking Is How I’m Most Likely Going to Get Hired?
Hi Nikki,
I love your Twitter so much. I was wondering if you had a LinkedIn group similar to your Twitter? I’m trying to break into human capital consulting, and I’m learning that networking is how I’m most likely going to get hired.

Howdy, Phoenix!
Thanks for showing love! I'm been on Twitter for years and I'm just now putting effort there, so I'm super happy to know what I'm sharing there resonates with you. LinkedIn is another spot I'm just now expanding my reach on. I am available for career advice on LinkedIn but haven't established a group there. I'll definitely look into it.
I am definitely a fan on networking to get into any career. I think it helps open doors and can shorten your job search down for sure. Human Capital sounds really interesting, I had to Google it! To get into the field, I'd look into finding different networking opportunities within your city for businesses. Do you know of anyone already in this field? Maybe someone from school, a career counselor or an old professor? You want to look for people that are already established in the field that can offer value. If you already have some experience, make sure you've got your resume up to date and can package (your experience) that to a new audience.
If looking out doesn't seem to get you anywhere, you may just need to start applying to companies that you'd be interested in working for. Make some new connections on LinkedIn, maybe even get connected with recruiters for those companies and introduce yourself.
It's time to put yourself out there!
You've got this!
Good luck,
Nikki Davis
