Dear Nikki, 

I am a graduating high school student about to attend a 4-year university in the fall. I am incredibly excited and know that I would like to work in the corporate world. I love business and the environment. However, I don’t know exactly what I want to smirk in that I will enjoy and make money. Every time I tell someone a major I get “those are a dime a dozen” or “that won’t make you any money”. I know I have some time but overall I am really stressed out. Do you have any potential major ideas?

This is always a little bit tricky...

You're in such a great time in your life and the fact that you already know where your interests lie - business and the environment - is pretty impressive. 

Are there plenty of business degrees looming the world? Yes. But that doesn't mean that you can't find your place in the world and make things happen for you. You have to be careful of the people you're seeking input from. Not everyone can have an opinion on your future! 
 

To that end, I think it would be good for you to do some research on the environmental side of your passion and see how you can use the business knowledge you'll gain from a degree to pursue a life working in/for the environment. The environment is your niche. Business skills will be the tools you'll use to accomplish whatever it is you want to do in the environmental space.

The possibilities are endless. Think outside the box!
